FAT TRANSFER (STRUCTURAL AUTOLOGOUS FAT TRANSFER)

Structural Autologous Fat Transfer is an elegant technique in which the fat is harvested from the abdomen or flanks using a special cannula that filters the fat from the rest of the bodily fluids. The fat is then transferred to smaller syringes attached to a blunt tipped cannula. This fat is then injected into the area of volume loss in multiple layers with microdroplets of fat. These microdroplets then gain their blood supply from the surrounding tissues. Of all the injectable filler materials, one's own fat is the safest and the longest lasting.

Fat Transfer is used to treat smile lines, marionette lines, depressions under the eyes, temporal wasting, hollow cheeks and other depressions in the face. It can also be used on the back of the hands to hide tendons and veins. It is also used for lip enhancement.
