Microneedling with DermaPen
Skin needling, also called microneedling therapy, collagen induction therapy (CIT), and percutaneous collagen induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Through the process of neovascularization and neocollagenesis, there is improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.

How Many Treatments Will You Need?
Everyone is different, but in general, for facial skin rejuvenation you can expect four – six treatments, each four weeks apart; for acne scarring you’ll need approximately six treatments, each six weeks apart; and for stretch marks you may need between four and eight treatments, each four to six weeks apart.
When Will You See Results?
Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Lasting and more significant results will occur after four to six treatments. Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments and when combined with the recommended post treatment care.
Is the Treatment Painful?
For minimum needle depths Dermapen™ Treatments are painless. Treatments over 0.5mm deep, may require a topical anesthetic cream to be applied for 15-40 minutes before the procedure. This will render the treatments virtually pain free.
